Qld: Curry Kenny reveals trauma of heart surgery

Former Olympian LISA CURRY KENNY has broken down in tears after revealing the trauma
of undergoing heart surgery.

CURRY KENNY underwent an operation to implant a cardio defibrillator at a Brisbane
hospital on Monday.

She had been suffering from an irregular heartbeat which could result in a heart attack
if left unchecked.

The 45-year-old says she was devastated when she first found out but is relieved doctors
detected the condition.

She says it's something she never thought would happen to her and hopes it sends a
warning to people to get things checked if they don't feel 100 per cent.
