TEEN E-MAILED THREATS, POLICE SAY.(CAPITAL REGION)

City police on Friday said they have arrested a teenager on charges of harassment and intimidation by e-mail of a grand jury witness who testified about the arson at the high school.

Justin Muscatello, 16, of 261 Columbia St., was charged with third-degree intimidation of a witness, a felony, and second-degree aggravated harassment, a misdemeanor, Detective Lt. Tom Ross said Friday.

Ross said criminal uses of e-mail are growing as more people buy computers. He said he has handled about five criminal cases involving e-mail threats in the past five years, apparently because people think they can get away with it. …
